New Books!!

Slowly building my collection :)

I aspire to have a brilliant bookshelf full of brilliant books that I can use for inspiration and gather tips and tricks. This is hopefully just the start. The Print & Pattern book is AMAZING!! The Print & Pattern blog is brought together in a book by Bowie Style. It is seriously like eye candy for designers! So many pretty pictures to absorb into your mind. It is fab!! Highly recommended.

I LOVE Betty's!

My Mum went to Betty's and brought back some infamous coffee for my husband :) Even though I'm not a massive fan of coffee I am a big fan of the packaging. Look how simple and cute it is. I had to put it on here to show you. If you have never been to a Betty's tea room, you must go at least the once just to say you've been. The "cream tea" is the best - so long as you don't get tempted by the cake trolley! Then you're in trouble. Ha!

Self-Driven Project

For my final Year 2 University project I had to set myself a brief to follow throughout the past term. We were instructed to have a faux client to work from. So, in short, I decided to 're-launch' a local craft supplying company into the international market. My aim was to produce a stationary set and website design for it (at least). After a challenging but rewarding creative journey I'm happy to display some of my final work from this project.

JACKS BACK!!!

Bring on May 20th!! My childhood hero is back on the big screen. yes it may be sad, but I had to tell you all the exciting news! The plot may be pants, but the famous faces are fantastic!

Hand-Printed Gift Wrap

I found this beautiful printing idea whilst browsing for new books to add to my 'design shelf'. One part of the site I was browsing had a link to the company's magazine promotional site which let's you see what's in the next issue. This was one of the articles included. How gorgeous is this print? I love it. The colours fit with the colour schemes I'm working with at the moment too. The ink for further info is here:

A shelf to myself

Do you share a passion for reading?

I love to read and have always wanted my very own bookcase filled with books I have read. This is as close to it I can get so far. I've read quite a few books now and got a small collection growing. I never thought I would say that. I hated reading! Now I love it :)

Wall of FrAMEs!

Inspired by my fabulous and amazing friends' gallery wall in her home I decided it'd be fun to draw it and create a vectorised version of it for on here :) I've used a variety of photos I have available where I am at moment - so I was limited - but I think it looks pretty kool. Lovin' the Lines!

Back to the 1st year!

Yes I do always deny I was ever a first year, however, I re-visited my line drawings to use on a recent brief. This is the first of the two which I drew (each took 2 hours at least). Both covered an A4 sheet comfortably. I used this drawing over my graphic robins I have just designed for the last brief we did at University.

New Look!

I thought seeing as though we are up for some good weather, I'd get into the 'Spring' of things and warm up my blog. Hope you like the new look (and the title banner). I'm so happy. Been wanting to make one since I started this blog :) Hope you feel better for visiting. Thank you.

Teacups & Cupcakes!

I love cake, and I love tea, so I drew these last night :)

I'll be using them for a mini personal project soon so you may see them around.
